Author Event a Success 07/28/2018 Author Event a Success! Vicky and I were so excited to share our book, our story, and our love of horses with those in attendance at The Merry Memory Company author event in Arlington Heights, IL on July 20th and July 21st. It was not until this point that I realized that my love of horses, my experience with autism, and friendship could meld into such a wonderful chance to help educate and raise money. Thank you to all those who attended - watch for another date coming sometime in October!

Walgreens Presentation 10/04/2017 I am pleased to share that recently, Vicky Kulig and Natalie Kulig presented their book at a kick off meeting for Walgreens for the PWD (people with disabilities) employment program. Our book, The Other Side of Autism, A Journey of a Mother and Daughter, was used as a teaching tool to help those managers working with people with disabilities of all types understand that each person has a back story - a story that took them to the place they are today. This makes trying to find out what the child needs stressful for the parent and frustrating for the child. The simple act of being able to choose food from pictures became the first step in our daily picture schedules. Social Stories became our next step in the language process.
